How to Get Those Pouty, Shiny and Nourished Lips
I've been wonderin' how I can get that Angelina-Jolie-signature-pouty-lips for quite a while now. I mean without resorting to having my lips surgically done, that is.
That led me to thinking… so what’s the difference between lipstick, lip gloss, and lip balm? Why are there women who prefer using each lip item on their own while others mix them together to create a look they want? Because I was intrigued, I did some research about these lip products.
Lip Balm
This is used for chapped or dry lips because it helps moisturize and heal the lips, providing a smooth base. Dry and chapped lips could cause uneven application of lipstick and fast fading of the shade, thus it is important to apply a lip balm first before using a lipstick. Look for calming lip balm treatment that not only moisturize. Make sure that it is packed with anti-oxidants and sun protection to promote healing like Human Nature’s Lip Balm-Bee Propolis and Beeswax with Calendula. It comes in three juicy tropical flavors – Watermelon, Peppermint, and Choco Vanilla. With soft, beautiful lips, your natural lip color will look and feel better than ever!
Lipstick
For señoritas who want to have a long-lasting lip color of their choice, lipstick is the perfect lip item since it is very rich in color and it includes pigments that are longer lasting. The downside of most lipstick brands is that they contain lead, carmine, parabens, and artificial dyes that are harmful to the skin. Good thing there is Human Nature Love Minerals - Passionfruit Hydrating Lipsticks! These lipsticks DO NOT contain ANY of these harmful chemicals I mentioned. Clap, clap, clap!!!
A. Pink Skies B. Coral Kiss C. Sweet Nectar D. Earth Angel |
Lip Gloss
Lip gloss is normally used to shine up the lips. It contains less chemicals and some senoritas resort to using this as an alternative to traditional lipstick. For senoritas who wish to tone down their shade of lipstick and display their shimmery lips, you can also apply lip gloss. Mary Kay Nourishine Lip Gloss can totally do both! The great thing about Mary Kay's lip gloss is that it's very light to wear, considering that a lot of lip glosses available are as sticky as they can get. You can wear it alone or use it with your favorite lipstick to give it a twist.
The 6 shades available – sweet raisin, pink diamond, cream & sugar, berry sparkle, melon sorbet, and coral rose are very versatile, subtle, and sensational.
