Rawrrr...Animal Prints Are Still IN, Señoritas!

Gwen & her son Kingston
Animal prints are back in fashion señoritas! During a L.A.M.B. runway last February, I saw one of my all time favorite icons-- Gwen Stefani-- wearing an animal print dress. It’s already midyear and I still see fashion taking a turn to the wild in the form of exotic prints and animal embellishments.
But who says only celebrities and models can carry a fabulous outfit like those? Sassy señoritas, here are a few tips to inspire your next
shopping trip for maxi dresses in animal prints.

Tall & Lean

If you have the body type of Nicole Kidman, señoritas, you won’t have much trouble finding the right maxi dress for you. Almost all maxi dresses would look perfect on you! But if you want to complement your tall and lean figure, you can choose ruched bustlines, halter necklines, or v-necks. You can also get away with spaghetti straps, a tighter halter-top style, and even a bandeau top with ease.

Petite

Yes, maxi dress may seem impossible for petite women but as I have discussed in my previous article Petite Senoritas and Maxi Dresses, you can still look stunning on a beautiful animal print maxi dress. Look at Kim Kardashian! Just don’t forget your chunky heels! So as not to get too overwhelmed by the voluminous fabric, try a maxi dress that has a sleeker silhouette-- something not too flowing or bouncy and one that shows a little bit of skin.

Plus Size

Remember Jennifer Hudson during her plus size days? She was able to pull off an animal print maxi dress in style! Señoritas, if you have this body type, don’t shy away from maxi dresses. Maxi dresses could actually do wonders for plus-size women because the long silhouette creates a taller and slimmer look. Make sure that the maxi dress you wear could create a waist to have a more voluptuous figure. You could wear a belt like Jennifer did if the maxi dress doesn't have a waistline.

Busty

Full-bosomed like Holly Madison of  The Girls Next Door? Make sure that the maxi dress you choose provides enough support at the top. Veer away from spaghetti straps and go for thicker straps. To balance your ample top, choose a maxi dress with a bit of flare at the bottom.

Ready to show off your maxi dresses, señoritas?
